Well Testing Albuquerque NM

Well Testing

If your property relies on a private well, it’s critical to understand how the system and components perform—not just what’s in the water. At Black Mesa Property Inspections, we provide functional well tests that evaluate both the condition and capacity of your well before you buy or when maintaining an existing system.

Our inspection covers the pump, pressure system, and electrical components to confirm proper operation. We also perform a two-hour flow test to measure sustained output in gallons per minute (GPM), giving you an approximate picture of how much water your well can reliably produce over a 2-hour period of time. Whether you’re purchasing a rural home or checking the health of an older system, we deliver clear answers before costly problems arise.

What’s Included in Well Testing?

System Function Test – Confirming that the pump, pressure tank, and electrical components operate correctly under normal demand.

Two-Hour Flow Test – Running hundreds of gallons of water to measure sustained production and identify risks of reduced output or system fatigue.

Performance Insights – Results explained in plain language, with guidance on whether repairs, upgrades, or further evaluation may be needed.

Water Potability – all well tests will include a water potability test.

Please note: We are unable to test shared wells or properties without an active, accessible pump system, as these conditions prevent us from safely completing the flow test. If you’re unsure whether or not your well qualifies, our team will advise you before scheduling.
