We can also perform a Warranty Inspection before the 1st year of ownership has ended to ensure that the builder is responsible for repairs according to your contract.
What’s Included in a New Construction Inspection?
Visible Assessment – including roof and attic, plumbing, electrical, HVAC (heating and cooling), windows and doors, and flooring finishes for safety issues and age-related wear. Our goal is to check for functionality and necessary repairs to the structural systems.
Misses During Walk-through – prior to purchase, you may not catch issues like GFCIs not working, plumbing leaks in walls, or even a sewer line that didn’t get tied into the main city line. Once you have moved in, these issues become very obvious.
Other common issues – we uncover include grading problems at the foundation, is connected ductwork, missing insulation, improper venting, and nonfunctional electric outlets. These problems are often missed in builder walkthroughs.
Digital report – you’ll receive it within 24 hours. It will have annotated photos and a clear summary of anything that needs follow-up. Additional services help identify issues that are not detectable visually, like radon levels entering through fresh concrete slabs.
